Pump and level control
Manual and Automatic Pump Operation in a Two-Tank Water Transfer System with Liquid Level Relay

What is manual and automatic two-tank water transfer?
It is the automatic two-tank water transfer system with manual operation added through a selector switch. In automatic the liquid level relays control the pump; in manual the operator uses start-stop buttons.
Where is it used?
It is used in building, housing estate and industrial water transfer systems. The pump must be runnable by hand during electrode faults, tank cleaning, maintenance and testing.
Power circuit and control circuit
The power circuit is the pump motor, circuit breaker, contactor and overload relay. The control circuit has the selector switch, start-stop buttons, seal-in contact and two liquid level relays. The relays are supplied only in automatic mode.
What to watch out for
In manual the level protections are bypassed, so the pump should be run under the operator's supervision.
